Services
* X-Ray and BMD services are located at VIP Office 6685 NW 9th Blvd – 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Bone Densitometry measures the bone mineral density (BMD) of the spine and the hip. These two areas of the body are at a particularly high risk for fracture.
Doctors Imaging Group uses Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptionmetry (DEXA), a reliable method of testing BMD to determine early stages of bone loss associated with osteoporosis.
According to The National Osteoporosis Foundation, an estimated 55% of Americans age 50 and older have osteoporosis or low bone mass. Over 45 million people are affected by this condition, but with early diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and the use of bone densitometry, the prognosis for patients is greatly improved.
