Vascular & Interventional Physicians (VIP) are Interventional Radiologists who are board certified and trained in minimally invasive targeted treatments. Their unique skills allow them to diagnose and treat by utilizing x-rays, and other imaging sources to advance catheters in the body; treating the source of the disease without open surgery.

While specializing in the treatment of arterial and venous disorders like peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and varicose vein therapy, the physicians of VIP are also involved in the treatment of cancer patients, delivering therapies under imaging guidance, directly to the tumor site. In addition, they are actively involved in the management and treatment of patients with abdominal aortic aneurym, carotid artery disease and other arterial disorders.

VIP is the first physician group in Gainesville to treat severe varicose vein disorder with the endovenous ablation technique, having successfully performed over 300 procedures in just 6 years.

Finally, our involvement in clinical trials offers patients the opportunity to participate in cutting edge medical care. Doctors Imaging Group (DIG) board certified spine radiologists have specialized training and experience in spinal injection procedures. The goal is always the conservative management of spine disorders, while providing permanent treament for benign and malignant spinal compression fractures and sacral insufficiency fractures.

Starting with one procedure a month in 1989, the DIG spine radiolgists perform over 20 procedures a day and are experts in treating patients with back, neck and hip pain caused by these spinal conditions: fractured vertebrae, fractured pelvis, herniated disc, sciatica, cancer, osteoporosis and arthritis. The DIG spine radiologists work with the patient and their physician to make a diagnosis and implement corrective strategies through injection, or physical therapy to assist the patient in pain-free living.
